How to Add Camtasia Videos Directly into WordPress Posts

December 1st, 2012 | Posted by President in Blog - (0 Comments)

There was no good reference online for this, so here it is. This is for Camtasia 8 but is probably usable on previous versions.

1. Export your project with the player using the MP4 flash/HTML 5 player option.

2. This will spit out around 10 files, a folder of scripts and skins, etc.

3. Upload all of those files to your site via FTP.

4. Open up the html file with your filename using notepad. For example, I named my project “intro1” so I would open up the “intro1.html” file

5. Copy the following text from that file and paste it into your WordPress post:

<iframe class="tscplayer_inline" name="tsc_player" src="your_video_title.html" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>

6. Change “your_video_title.html” to the name of your video and the absolute location of it on your server. For example, if you placed the file in a folder called “videos” on your site, then you would change it to src=”http://www.yoursite.com/video/your_video_title.html”

7. Hit publish.

Leader Brand on Dental Product Shopper

Greater NY

November 27th, 2012 | Posted by President in Blog - (0 Comments)

I was happy to be in attendance at the Greater NY meeting this weekend due to the kindness and generosity of DC Dental, truly the nicest group of people you could ever hope to meet. They are our exclusive distributor and if they’re as good to their dentists as they are to their suppliers then I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Got some great feedback on the LeaderBoard disinfectable keyboard and the LeaderMouse, a mouse without any grooves or cracks, which will soon be available.

I noticed a few companies advertising dental websites and even the show specials were overpriced. I’ve taught many of my friends here at school how to build websites for their future practices in only a few hours and to host them for $5/month. It’s interesting how many dentists at the show were fighting to get a free box of exam gloves or a few cents off their septocaine carpules and yet they’re getting taken for a ride to the tune of $50-500 each month!

P.S. – An example of a site you can build for $2.49/month is the site you’re on now.
